Install and launch the app.
Never download Exodus from torrents or “mirror” sites — this is the #1 way to lose funds.

How to create a wallet

On first launch press Create a New Wallet.
Set a strong password for entering the app (it will not restore the wallet, it only protects the program on your device).
The app will show a 12-word seed phrase — this is the only way to restore access.

🔑 Write the phrase on paper and keep it offline. A screenshot of the phrase in the cloud is a gift to hackers. Never share it with anyone — not even with “Exodus support”.

Confirm a few words from the phrase — done, your wallet is created.

Fees

Transfers: Exodus uses the network's average fee; it cannot be set manually by default (a “personal mode” with fee settings is available for advanced users).
Built-in exchange: the swap fee is baked into the rate, usually 1–3% on top of the provider's fee.

Pros and cons
